Problem: Performance of the agilities lesson to determine the accuracy of procedures for the lesson, are the activities engaging, and do the activities match the overall objective. Students have the opportunity to give feedback.
Summary of Project
The DeBruce Foundation, which created Workplace Agilities, is rolling out a new curriculum for middle schools. My 7th-grade science classes provided a test class for the curriculum that looked for any flaws in the program as well as highlighted anything in the project that was enjoyable to students.
Key Takeaways or Advice
Be sure your school’s, or more specifically your building’s, firewall doesn’t block certain websites needed for the project. This type of project is great for middle schools to help introduce them the career education. While not a lengthy project, the students are introduced to what is more readily available to them in high school and that career education goes across all subjects.
