Students connected with community and school partners to think through how they might positively impact our school, community, and world.

Learning Standards

Benchmark 8.2 Cultural, Social, and Ethnic Diversity:  Discuss religious and cultural values as they impact healthcare: Ethnicity, Gender, Race, and Religion. 

Empathize with students at Piper MS to identify cultural values and abilities in connection to pain points that MS students face in relation to mental health. (inclusion, bullying, ostracizing, awareness of a variety of abilities, and disabilities).

Benchmark 7.1 Medical Law and Ethics: Analyze legal responsibilities, limitations, and implications of actions. (HIPAA, IRB, ADA, etc.) 

Analyze responsibilities, limitations, and actions of the Piper MS system as well as responsibilities, limitations, and feasible and reasonable actions that can be implemented.
