Project Attributes

School: LEAD Center/Raymore-Peculiar High School

Class: Historical Events and Community Impact

Instructor: Kohl Garten

Client: Truman Library

Problem: Students assist in researching and creating a virtual exhibit that showcases various aspects of Harry S. Truman’s life, presidency, and historical events during his life. Suggested themes: From Soldier to Commander-in-Chief: How Truman’s military service in WW1 impacted his decisions as President.

Students worked together to develop a virtual exhibit/breakout room with the Truman Library.

The team’s biggest challenge was some of the technology use, our district is very nervous about giving kids access to various resources/websites. We had to work extensively with the district to get approval for some tech tools.
