Workshop Details: July 9 & 10 // 8 am – 4 pm
Are you an educator eager to engage your students in more real-world learning by implementing client-connected projects? Join us for our third CCP apprenticeship cohort focused on empowering educators to use their skills and experience to design effective projects through understanding the essential goals of CCPs, accessing existing resources, and networking with teachers with similar goals.
Benefits of the program include:
- An invitation to join the growing teacher network on social media
- Receipt of a Teacher Workbook, MVA Guidebook, and resources crowdsourced through the teacher network to support you wherever you are in your RWL journey
- Working in subject or goal-specific teams with experienced mentor teachers to develop confidence in designing effective projects
- Optional breakout sessions with experienced RWL coordinators, teachers, and students to learn about roles and best practices
- Support during optional in-person work days in both the fall and spring
- An invitation to a free gala celebrating YOU and your accomplishments in the spring
In order to receive up to $1000 in stipends, teachers will:
- Complete a 2-day workshop culminating in the design of a client-connected project plan
- Meet virtually with mentoring teams regularly throughout the year and share project progress
- Share a summary of their project implementation
- Complete a teacher survey and distribute a student survey
Key topics:
- Understanding the elements of a high-quality client-connected project
- Creating a student-centered learning environment
- Maintaining high content standards
- Using human-centered design practices such as design thinking
- Sourcing and retaining clients
- Grading and feedback, including competency-based options
- Leveraging available resources
Please note that to be eligible for a stipend when participating in the 2025-26 Client-Connected Teacher Apprenticeship, you must hold a classroom teaching position in grades 9-12 during the 2025-26 school year.
